Fairy Tales? - Tract #198 (FTLE)

They were just fantasy games ... all in fun. But they influenced Harry to make the biggest mistake of his life.

o Introduction collapse_button

Slick146Slick146 So, I've decided to do Fairy Tale now. And let me tell you, this one is going to be a real pain. Lord Chimera thank you for recommending this one.

Slick146Slick146 So, to open the scene, we get this.

Slick146Slick146 So....we got two gangs of protestors arguing with each other about someone named Harry Garner. One side calls him a monster, the other wants him to live. You can tell because one is going "Live, live!" and holds up a sign about the Ten Commandments, while the other screams "Kill, kill!" and has signs saying.....Okay, I'm going to call it right now. Harry's the Anti-Christ, and everyone has learned their lesson from the Omen. Honestly, the Anti-Christ is overdone, and has no basis in the Bible. Anti-Christ just means anti-christian, okay? Okay. And may I say, that sheriff had the biggest hand I've ever seen. Trump's jealous.

So, let's read on.

Slick146Slick146 Ma'am, sad to say, your kid is the Anti-Christ. He was never innocent-WAIT A MINUTE!

o Page 4 collapse_button

Page 4

Slick146Slick146 Um....he isn't the Anti-Christ? He just lost his tooth and his mother told him about the Tooth Fairy?

o Page 5 collapse_button

Page 5

Slick146Slick146 Okay, we got some fairly standard stuff concerning a kid losing his first baby tooth. Not bad so far. However, I'd hate to break it to the kid that she and the mailman weren't playing "Blind Man's Bluff" with an actual blind fold.

Slick146Slick146 Aw, now this is actually real sweet. Kid getting ready for Christmas.

Hold on, he's only been told Santa is coming a week before Christmas? Given the commercialism that runs rampant from October to December, I'd imagine he'd have known well in advance and been counting down.

Slick146Slick146 "Son, listen. Your mom and I have been going through some rough times lately, and me catching mommy kissing that jolly fat bastard underneath the mistletoe last night was the straw which broke the camel's back. Come on, honey the mailman is understandable...."

Slick146Slick146 First panel is sweet, really. We all know the feeling of opening presents on Christmas.

Wait, is that Shin Godzilla? Damn! He got the action figure years before the movie came out!

"Dammit, honey! I'm not denying the existence of the man you've had an affair with if you won't!"

Preacher said:
Sunrise service

Nobody I know calls morning mass that. Ever. Getting up at sunrise for mass is really impractical. Everyone would be falling asleep in the pews.

Seriously, why is Harry a monster? He's been nothing but an adorable, naive kid who believes in the stories every kid does growing up. Though, he's a bit stupid if he thinks a Bunny is Jesus. Also, if I am not mistaken, the gap between Easter and Christmas is longer than three months.

o Page 10 collapse_button

Page 10

Slick146Slick146 Okay, so.....Harry isn't the Anti-Christ. He killed two kids who insulted him over his belief in Santa Claus and called his parents liars. I think he did anyway, I mean, he's starting to actually generate fire!

I am not sure if it is legal to arrest an 8 year old. Take him into protective custody, yeah, but not arrest him.

o Page 11 collapse_button

Page 11

Slick146Slick146 So let me get this straight: Harry is insulted by a pair of brats for believing in Santa Claus who also call his parents, who I am sure are getting a divorce, liars. Thus, he gets fire powers and kills one of them, becoming a terrorist? They are actually calling this an act of terrorism? Why is an 8 year old in police custody? I am sure that isn't legal. Why is CSI involved? This seems real clear cut to me. Why are the parents of the school kids the ones who have to cope and not the kids themselves?

Actually, why am I asking these questions? Since when has Jack ever factored in logic in his work?

I think Pennywise the Dancing Clown is involved in this. Him or Slender Man. Make the story much better.

o Page 12 collapse_button

Page 12

Slick146Slick146 "Of course he's real, Harry! He's was screwing your mother last Christmas!"

Yeesh, putting a kid in restraints like that for his own protection? Please. Not gonna be any help against his fire powers.

Page 13

Slick146Slick146 So, now they have to come clean, but I doubt this will help Harry at all. Poor kid's mentally disturbed, I reckon, and I think the parent's can see it.

o Page 14 collapse_button

Page 14

Slick146Slick146 "Um....dear, there's something I should tell you. I've been seeing Santa for 8 years now..."

"Wait, so you mean....Harry isn't my kid? Dammit woman, what else have you been keeping from me!"

"Honey, I wasn't seeing Santa. You see, it was the mailman who introduced me to him...."

"To who, you cheating slut?"

"Who else is red and has a five letter name starting with S?"

Yeah, this whole tract makes much more sense if we assume Harry is really the Antichrist. Makes it better, two.

o Page 15 collapse_button

Page 15

Slick146Slick146 Jesus Christ, in one week, Harry's gone and strangled his cellmate? What did he do to deserve it?

Actually, better you don't think on this one. I just did.

Harry is a mentally disturbed kid. Sure, he may be the Antichrist, but locking him up for that long will make him worse. Does therapy not exist to Jack? And how does a kid become a hardened criminal in the space of a week?

2 years later
"Oh yeah, Jamal, me and the warden had a talk about that incident in Vegas with the crossdressers."

Wait a minute, if Harry is 8 when he is going to be executed, and this is two years after he kills two people in the space of a week and is branded a terrorist, that means....this tract just got much, much worse.

The Chaplin isn't wrong here. Most scholars agree that there was a person called Jesus. So yes, Jamal, you are a fool. But it looks like Harry is in a bad mood!

o Page 17 collapse_button

Page 17

Slick146Slick146 You said it, man. Nobody fucks with the Jesus.

500 eyewitnesses? I thought Jesus only appeared to his apostles and Mary of Magdalene? That's the version I read. And actually, I will see that verse.

After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.
Okay, I believe there may be some Biblical literalism afoot here. That verse is clearly written after said event happened. It probably did happen, but not all at once. It is pretty vague, mind you.

Harry's just decided to pout like a puny child. Truly, watching a harden 8 year old terrorist who is the Antichrist pout is most amusing.

o Page 18 collapse_button

Page 18

Slick146Slick146 A positive message, but sadly, it's kinda forced under all the rampant bigotry in the second image.

o Page 19 collapse_button

Page 19

Slick146Slick146 Yes, yes, we all know the story, no need to retell it!

o Page 20 collapse_button

Page 20

Slick146Slick146 Jamal is really accepting of Jesus, may I say. A bit too accepting. Seriously, how has he never heard of Jesus dying on the cross before?

Chaplin Lorenzo seems to be a cardboard cut out now. I get the feeling he's meant to be a reference to the Big Lebowski. I assume anyway.

And Harry is what is known as a relapsed Christian. He also needs therapy. I said it once, and I will keep saying it until this is over.

Slick146Slick146 Harry Garner. One of the most evil men to ever live in American history! He tops Osama Bin Laden, the monkey faced bomber!

Just discovered Jack misspelled Laden as Ladin.

Say, is that Obama?

o Page 22 collapse_button

Page 22

Slick146Slick146 Jamal is saved, and got a great suit and a hair cut for his troubles.

Harry? Well, having never gotten his therapy, getting branded a terrorist at age 6 or 8, spending his most of his life in prison without parole, separated from his parents, one of whom is the Devil, he has become a complete and deranged lunatic.

God, you didn't send Harry a therapist. Actually, what did you do for him? Nothing! You did incredibly little! Beyond that! Hell, you did exactly nothing to help him! Actually, who am I kidding? Kid's the Antichrist.
